Meet Our Team

ADVISOR
Dr. Susan MacDonald joined the Frontier Care Organization as an advisor in 2024. As a leader in ophthalmology and cataract surgery, Dr. MacDonald has dedicated 25+ years to eye care, much of which has been spent establishing care ecosystems in underserved areas of the world through her non-profit, EyeCorps. She provides FCO clinical guidance, expertise in building sustainable eye care programs, and connection to mission-driven ophthalmologists.

OPTHALMOLOGIST
Dr. Blake Hampton joins the Healthworx team from North Carolina. He acts as both a surgical consultant for defining the necessary requirements for providing cataract care, and a member of our inaugural cohort of traveling surgeons. Dr. Hampton completed his medical degree at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and completed his Residency in Ophthalmology at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, NY before settling in North Carolina to practice full time as a comprehensive ophthalmologist.
